The Bristol merchantman that carried Ralph Blaisdell and his family to the New World was wrecked at Pemaquid Point in a great storm — the very shore where the family would plant roots for generations.

Ralph Blaisdell arrived in America in 1635 and became the progenitor of one of New England's most enduring family lines. His descendants now number in the tens of thousands across North America.
York, Maine — Where It All Began
The rocky shores of Pemaquid Point, Maine hold a special place in Blaisdell family history. It was here that the Angel Gabriel wrecked and the first Blaisdells set foot on American soil.
